Yoga for Beginners
Beginners to Yoga Sessions 2019
December 7th 1.30-4pm
This class is ideal for those interested in the yoga practice but not sure where to start or for those who have tried one or 2 classes but felt left behind. We will learn a little about the history of Yoga and some simple breathing practices for everyday life. We'll practice some of the more common yoga postures to strengthen the body and maintain flexibility, learn how to link them together to create flows and how you might use props to enhance your practice The class will finish with a guided relaxation (called savasana) lying down on the floor.
The intention for this session is to offer an easy accessible introduction to Hatha yoga and to offer some insights into how this traditional practice can offer us myriad ways to live well in our modern world. It's friendly and casual, you are welcome to ask questions at any time. Stay for tea, bring a friend!
Absolutely no experience required.
We have everything you need unless you want to bring your own mat. Wear some comfortable clothes that allow you to move.
$35 for 2.5 hour session
$80 for the class plus 1 month unlimited pass at Just Yoga
Just Yoga is situated in the heart of Mount Pleasant. Parking is available free for this workshop at the back of the studio. We are a community based, friendly studio.
