![]() Yoga - all levels
This class is a movement based class. We will sit, stand, move, shake, lie down. We hold shapes, we flow. If you are interested in building strength and supporting your body through healthy functional movement come and try a class. If you are starting out in yoga then try a beginners class first. |
![]() Restorative Yoga
A passive, introspective and breath orientated practice. The body is supported on bolsters and blankets and still for longer periods of time than in an active class. The purpose of this type of practice is to shift the nervous system out of ‘fight or flight’ into a deeply felt relaxation response. I also like to include some somatic movement sequences as a way to release holding patterns before we come to rest. |

Yin Yoga & Meditation
This class is challenging, in that the pace is slow. A certain degree of body awareness is useful. The practice is done sitting, reclining and in prone positions. We use props to support the body while holding poses for up to 2/3 minutes at a time. This class includes breathing practices (pranayama), meditation, release work similar to somatic movements and lots of quiet contemplation.
Not recommended if you have hypermobile joints, have osteoarthritis in hips/spine. If you are pregnant you should practice with caution.
