Introduction to Yoga Are you interested in yoga but have no idea how to begin a consistent practice? Maybe you have tried classes on YouTube but not sure where to go next or if it's right for you?
This 2 hour session is ideal for those interested in starting a yoga practice but not sure where to begin. It's very informal and you will be learning with other beginners! This is not on Zoom.
What you will learn:
A little of the history and how to find out about philosophy of yoga if interested.
Basic breathing practices used in yoga
Warmup movements to get the body moving
Common yoga postures (asanas)
How to move & flow with breath
We finish with a guided relaxation
The intention for this session is to offer an introduction to the practice of yoga and provide insights into how this ancient spiritual practice can offer us ways to live well in our modern world. It's friendly and casual, you are welcome to ask questions at any time. No experience needed at all. Come as you are.
