Introduction to Yoga Sessions 2020 - Just Yoga, Vancouver (currently on hold) This 2.5 hour session is ideal for those interested in starting a yoga practice but not sure where to begin. It's very informal and you will be learning with other beginners! What you will learn:
A little of the history and philosophy of yoga
Basic breathing practices used in yoga
Warmup movements to get the body moving
Common yoga postures (asanas)
How to move & flow with breath
We finish with a guided relaxation.
The intention for this session is to offer an introduction to the practice of yoga and provide insights into how this ancient spiritual practice from South Asia can offer ways to live well in our modern world. It's friendly and casual, you are welcome to ask questions at any time. Wear something comfortable that allows you to move easily you don't need special clothing. I recommend bare feet but it's totally optional. Just Yoga is situated in the heart of Mount Pleasant. Parking is available free for this workshop at the back of the studio. We are a community based, friendly studio.
